About Our Owner & Founder

Brenda Moynihan, Founder & Owner, BS, CDP, Aging Advocate
Brenda brings over 20 years of experience in senior living, healthcare marketing, and community outreach, making her an invaluable resource in professional elder care transitions. Her extensive background spans nonprofit leadership and healthcare, with a particular focus on aging adults. Previously, she served as Director for several organizations dedicated to health and wellness.
Extensive Knowledge of Elder Care Options
Brenda’s experience within senior living communities equips her with a comprehensive understanding of various elder care options, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and adult family homes. She has honed her ability to navigate the local nuances of senior living facilities and skilled nursing homes, making her a pivotal resource for families.
Building Partnerships and Educating the Community
As the Director of Marketing and Community Outreach at a distinguished assisted living community known for its exceptional care, Brenda educated the public about various housing options and fostered partnerships that uplift older adults and their families. In recognition of her contributions to the field, Brenda received the 5-Year Excellence in Sales and Marketing Award in 2015 for her expertise in leading business development and public education initiatives.
Leadership within the Healthcare Community
From 2013 to 2017, Brenda also served as Co-President of the Greater New York/Connecticut Chapter of the National Post-Acute Care Continuum, focusing on uniting healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life. Her leadership extended to being a prominent speaker and board member for Take Control of Your Future, an organization that provides lectures and valuable resources to seniors and caregivers.

Brenda’s approachable, candid style distinguished her as a celebrated radio host of Coffee and Conversations on WVOX, where she brought humor and insight to discussions about aging and care. She has authored several impactful articles on senior living, including “Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Senior Living but Were Afraid to Ask,” “5 Questions to Ask When Searching for Senior Living,” and “How to be a Networking Magnet.”

As a resource coach and senior placement advisor, Brenda blends her compassion with extensive knowledge of elder care options and local resources to assist aging adults and their families in finding the most appropriate solutions, whether they wish to remain at home or move to a senior living community.
Brenda’s Credentials
Brenda holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Manhattan College, a Marketing Strategy Program Certificate from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP).
